My name is Eva van Willigenburg and I love to paint.
My dad instilled the love of painting and drawing in me at a young age.
Throughout the years I developed my own style and eventually took lessons from Jaap van Dijk, who taught me to work with oils.
This medium feels the most comfortable to me and I have a passion to create portraits.

The first portrait I painted was that of my son who died at the age of twelve. His name is Lars.
This was a self-imposed assignment to try to process this loss.
It did give me a lot of positive energy. After that i acquired the taste to create through painting.
In addition to painting, I also run my own beauty salon in beautiful Boksum (Friesland, The Netherlands).
Who knows, maybe that gave me the inspiration and preference to paint faces.
My customers are always suprised to see a new painting hanging on the wall of my salon every week.
By now I also like to paint animals, landscapes and cityscapes and not only on canvas or panels but also on walls.
Children’s rooms are my favorite.
